David Fickling Books is a story house. If you have a story that you think children will love, please send it to us. ?

Guidelines:
Please send us just the first 3 chapters of your writing and if we?re eager to see more, we?ll ask for them. Submissions should be clearly labelled with your full name and contact details, written in English, typed, double line-spaced, and with numbered pages. We typically look at fiction for 5-8 years, 9-12 years, teens and young adults, but picture books and illustrative samples are also welcome.

If you post your submission and would like it returned, please include a stamped, self-addressed envelope or we will not be able to return it. (Submissions from abroad: please email your work where possible, as we cannot use your SASEs from the UK).

As you can imagine, our reading pile is always bulging, and we?re only little, so please allow 3 months for a response. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, we are unable to provide feedback on manuscripts that we decide not to take on, though we will contact you once we?ve read your work.
